Cloverleaf Mall in North Chesterfield, VA. opened in Aug. 1972. The mall was named after the proposed, close proximity cloverleaf of Midlothian Trnpk. & Chippenham Pkwy. Demolition began Oct. 26, 2011 making way for a new Kroger Grocery Store that will be 123,000 square ft.

The old J.C. Penny's now relocated to Chesterfield Towne Ctr.

When Cloverleaf Mall opened, Thalhimers Dept. Store was one of the original anchor stores, later becoming the Hecht Company.

When Cloverleaf Mall opened, there were 2 theaters located inside the mall. The Regal Theaters moved outside of the mall in the late 80's or early 90's and closed permanently in 2001.
