41st Annual Community Leaders Breakfast

The 41st Annual Community Leaders Breakfast honoring the Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was hosted by Virginia Union University on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Richmond Marriott. The keynote speaker was the Honorable Ralph Northam, Governor of Virginia. Highlights included the MLK Lifetime of Service Award Presentations. The Honorees were, Dr. Earl M. Brown, of Fifth Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia; The National Council of Negro Women, Richmond Section. Margaret Hancock-Carter accepted the award for the NCNW. The third honoree was the Richmond Heritage Federal Credit Union, and Randy Cooper accepted the award. The Virginia Union University Concert Choir performed a musical offering and sang "Lift of Every Voice and Sing".
