Summer Solstice
A hazy summer solstice viewed from Rocketts Landing with the City of Richmond in the distance.
Rocketts Landing is urban neighborhood in southeastern Richmond, Virginia, on the border of Henrico County, and the north bank of the James River. Rocketts Landing history stretches back to Captain Christopher Newport's exploration of the James River when the Godspeed first landed here in 1607. Now a revised neighborhood with a marina, condos, apartments, new restaurants, and a night life. Rocketts Landing is stop along the Capital Trail for bikers, and hikers. It is also the last stop on Richmond, Virginia's new GRTC Pulse, Richmond's bus rapid transit system.
