Paper Rice Swallowtail
The Swallowtail butterflies any group of butterflies that are found worldwide except in the Arctic. They are named for their characteristic tail-like extensions of the hindwings. Many swallowtails are tailless. The colour patterns vary, and many have yellow, orange, red, green or blue markings on an iridescent black, blue, or green background. I have visited the Butterflies Live indoor exhibit several times at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. One must be prepared for humid climate where butterflies thrive. I was able to photograph a few of the fast flying butterflies at this exhibit.
