The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is the largest Roman Catholic church in the United State and North America. The basilica honors the Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Conception. The basilica has 70 chapels, and is open 365 days a year.
This was my first visit to the basilica in Washington D.C. I spent two hours in awe of several chapels and their beauty. Photography is allowed, but leave the tripod and flash behind. Also respect people who are in various chapels for prayer
