The Oculus in New York City
The World Trade transportation hub in lower Manhattan opened to the public in 2016. This new hub, "The Oculus", replaced the Path Train hub that was destroyed on 9-11. The Oculus consist of 110 steel ribs, with each rib weighing 56 tons. It appears to have wings, and looks like a dove taking on in flight. The Oculus was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, and cost over 4 billion dollars.
