2013 Presidential Inauguration Parade
The 2013 Inaugural parade featured participants, floats and vehicles representing more than 58 groups. The theme of the 2013 Inauguration was “Our People. Our Future”
The parade began at 4th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, and continued along Pennsylvania Ave. until its conclusion at 17th Street. I was station along with other media at 10th and Pennsylvania Ave.
I’ve captured images of the crowd, vendors, floats, and bands, President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden. My day started out at 10 a.m. with a quick ride on the metro ride from Arlington, Virginia into the District of Columbia, and stopping along the way to capture the sites and the crowds. The Inaugural Parade started around 3:30 p.m. Once the sun set and light low, I left my media post with sore feet at 5:15 p.m. I was grateful to witness and capture images of the 2013 Inaugural Parade on January 21, 2013
